Content/Context
consists of six installations combining altered domestic objects with videos
that relate to the objects. Viewers move through scenes as if through rooms,
finding doors opening atop doors, images of people sitting on actual wall-mounted
chairs, and a dinner party playing out on the surface of a skewed tabletop:
content merges with context. The viewer is undoubtedly familiar with the routines
being depicted, whether entering, sitting, sleeping, or eating. Because the
experience of the viewers is variable, context is always in flux, and reality
is perpetually shifting. Content/Context becomes a dramatic stage
set for erasing the real.
