Window Currents, 2002: video and photo installation
media: color photographs, window reflections, video footage of the window's surroundings
exhibitions: The Armory Center for the Arts at One Colorado in Pasadena, California- 2002

Window Currents is a study of the in between. Video representations of a reflected reality come closely into alignment with the scene played out on glass. The real merges with the illusory. The installation consists of images of a highly trafficked street in downtown Pasadena, displayed behind windows, and merged with the reflection of the street within the glass. The images themselves are in fact extensions of the very images reflected within the windows, so that the reflection of “reality” is multifold and layered. Passersby become observers and players within a game of the real and reflected.
