ReWorld is an interactive, movement-driven performance in which the motions of actors Jamie Harrison and Ruth Sergel effect changes within their projected environment. This human/technology interface correlates with humanity’s impact on the world’s ecosystem, arguably also an interactive interface. At the edge of a sprawling city, in the center of their universe, a woman and a man strive to remain connected. The couple’s troubled relationship is not unlike the dysfunctional marriage between human beings and the earth. Lucy H G lives in the urban hills of Los Angeles, at the convergence of nature and freeways, butterflies and smog. In this ongoing multimedia project, she draws upon the fabric of her surroundings.
